TALENT CORPS TIMELINE
Jared DeRuby started Talent Corporation with one person, one desk, one phone, one computer. His vision was to create a company for the people, about the people; a place where every customer got a customized solution and every associate maximized their career opportunity.
In year 2, the company added an office in Tampa and gained several large national accounts. Senior leaders were added to run sales, recruiting and finance, and an advisory board was created to support Jared’s vision. By year end, the company had a staff of 15 and tripled its revenue.
Growth continued in year 3 with a new office in Washington, DC and base of clients that generated predictable business. A high point was staffing a big job in Antarctica. Talent Corporation closed the year with 27 employees and year-over-year revenue growth 65%.
Launched the Medical Talent division, expanding into the crucial market of traveling nurses, meeting the healthcare industry’s urgent needs during the pandemic. Successfully navigated COVID-19 regulations and safety mandates, with zero internal layoffs throughout the pandemic. Evolved brand identity from Talent Corporation to Talent Corps and strengthened leadership team with the appointment of a Vice President of Operations.
Talent Corps doubled down on growth, entering the markets of Austin and Phoenix in its 5th year. This move fueled an 81% surge coming out of COVID-19, driven by both domestic and international client wins. The company made a significant mark by emphasizing national traveling projects, particularly those focused on renewables.
Talent Corps expanded for a sixth consecutive year, entering the Orlando, FL market. Building on its success, the company diversified its offerings, adding light industrial staffing solutions to its portfolio and growing the Permanent Placement team. This resulted in an impressive 39% growth, outpacing the staffing industry and further solidifying Talent Corps’ position as a leader in the industry.
Added two more brick and mortars to Talent Corps’ footprint with our Houston and Atlanta locations. Grew the in-house Marketing Department and added an Organizational Development role to create org chart and internal training ‘The Talent Corps Way’. These strategic initiatives fueled another impressive double-digit growth year.
