Be prepared for video interviews

Even if the job you’re applying for will be on-site, it’s likely you might have a video interview before ever meeting anyone face-to-face. Practice beforehand, just like you would for an in-person interview, and ensure that your space is ready; get rid of any distractions and make everyone else in your home aware that you’ll be interviewing.

Get ready to negotiate

With some skills in short supply, job seekers like yourself have the leverage right now. That’s why it’s important for you to be prepared to negotiate for what you want out of your next phase of employment. Part of that is pay – think about what you’d like to make, and the lowest amount you’d be willing to take, and go from there.
